PostSubject: Patch Ver0.54 Monsters History   Sun May 04, 2008 12:47 am

Big Puff Daddy:This is the enormous cake monster Boss for GlobalMS's third anniversary event. Spawns in most Victoria island towns and drops the level 64 maple weapons. Looks somewhat like the Noonoo snowman boss from Christmas.

Bodyguard A:This Bodyguard possesses a punch which has a 100% stun rate, and if you are punched again and again, you will not be able to recover from it. Then he will finish with a 27000 damage kick so no class can survive it. It mainly uses karate type moves. It is summoned in the map after the Bain-filled Armory, Nightmarish Last Days, and will only appear if the Female Boss's comb is offered at a shrine.

Bodyguard B:Very ugly boss, but he is very powerful. Possesses an attack that brings your HP to 1 but brings your MP to full, so use that attack to your advantage to stay alive. All his gun attacks were removed in GlobalMS, and replaced with equivalent martial arts attacks.

Extra A:The easiest Yakuza member. Same as the above, but this version has a set of Nun chucks instead. He attacks like you are fighting another Mapler. It has fairly high damage. When it dies, it transforms into a flaming Raccoon. Located in Zipangu's Showa Town in GMS and CMS.

Extra B:Extra B is a buzzcut gangster. He is stronger than Extra A but has a little bit less range. This one fights with his fists instead of a brick. When he dies, he transforms into a Flaming Raccoon. Located in the Showa Town Streets in GMS and CMS.

Extra C:A member of the Yakuza. This version has taped up red fists to fight with instead. When it dies, it transforms back into a Flaming Raccoon. Located in Zipangu's Showa Town in GMS and CMS.

Extra D:A Human enemy that only appears in the first three parts of the Showa mansion. This version appears in Showa Town in GlobalMS and ChinaMS. It doesn't have a knife, but performs the same attacks as the other version. When she dies, she transforms back into a Cloud Fox. Very good exp from level 79-90.

Fake Geist Balrog:This is the fake version of Amoria PQ's Geist Balrog.

Fake Griffey:The fake version of Griffey, a boss from Leafre. It's one of the strongest fake bosses.

Fake Headless Horseman:This is the fake boss version of Headless Horseman.

Fake Lord Pirate:A fake version of Lord Pirate, the boss of Herb Town's Pirate Party Quest.

Fake Manon:A fake version of Manon, a boss of Leafre. It's one of the strongest fake bosses.

Female Boss:This is the boss of choice for many players to take down since you can fight it in all channels. However if your party to take it down contains many leechers, expect yourself to be kill-stealed without warning. (Update: As of Patch 1.18 of JMS, it can do up to 18000 damage with its slap now.) She hates any type of light spell, so shes susceptible to Holy and Lightning skills. Commonly referred to as Anego. Located in the map just before the big boss, at the end of Showa Hideout. In GlobalMS, her gun attack is replaced by a ranged punch, but the deadly slap remains.

Leader A:The same as the above, but this version is wielding a hilarious Pico Pico hammer instead of a sword. He still sports the same attacks. Acts like any Yakuza member, fights like an enemy mapler. When he dies, he transforms back into a Flaming Raccoon. Located in Showa Town's streets in GlobalMS and ChinaMS.

Leader B:Another member of the Yakuza, found in the streets of Showa Town. Oddly, it has less HP than its lower level fellow Leader. This version has a strange-looking paw-like claw instead of a gun. Sports the same attacks as the standard version. When he dies, he transforms back into a flaming raccoon. Found in GlobalMS's and ChinaMS's Showa.

Male Boss:Unlike most bosses, which are usually at the end of a route or a quest, this boss spawns in Showa Street 3, an open area. Does great damage when he punches with his fists. This is the CMS and GMS version, which does not have the gun.

Red Slime:Found in the bathhouse in Zipangu. Their stats are completely different, much higher than its weaker counterparts. They are also incredibly fast. Strangely, Red slimes do not have an etc. drop, like Street Slimes.

Third Anniversary Cake:This is the cake monster for GlobalMS's third anniversary event. It's much larger than the previous cake monsters, and comes in chocolate this year!

PostSubject: Ver0.54 Locations History   Sun May 04, 2008 12:51 am

Showa Town:When most people think of Zipangu, they are usually remembering parts of Showa. After walking to the right of Mushroom Shrine, the maps begin to change into a street or alleyway. The enemies look like players, and roam the streets wielding guns, swords, baseball bats and bricks. In ChinaMS and GlobalMS, the monsters have different type of equip such as Toy Hammer or Knuckle. In one of these streets, the Male Boss of the Yakuza, the Japanese gangster group that operates like the Mafia, spawns. These Yakuza members and random bosses pose a hazard to lower level players venturing to Showa. Once in Showa's Main town, there is a sauna, with secret maps filled with monsters. There's a number of quests and even a Free Market Entrance. The NPC shopkeepers here sell different items that act like return scrolls, instantly taking you back to areas of Zipangu. Also, there are hair and skin salons, and NPCs selling rare Gachapon only items for very high prices, some of the only items from an NPC for over 1 million mesos.

Showa Hideout (Yakuza Mansion):Inside Showa, an NPC will lead you to the Showa Hideout, where large numbers of the human monsters appear. These are far stronger than the members roaming outdoors. The maps range from Parking Lots to Break Rooms. Towards the end, a Female Boss, commonly called Anego, is found, and beyond her is the room where both Bodyguards and the Grandpa Boss are found, the most difficult single form boss in the game.
